Sorry I've not written in a couple of days. I've been preoccupied with a much needed family visit, and I've also been occupied with a potential gig. I woke up Easter Sunday to an email request from a director asking me to look at a project he will be producing in late May. It turns out that it is an independent film, and the part he asked me to look at is the lead male...jaw dropped to the floor, right? Well, things have progressed. I've read the screenplay, and am in the process of arranging a reading for the part. Wish me luck...this is exactly the type of project I've been looking for. The unfortunate thing is that I got this gig from another talent site and not Star Search...hmmmmm. I hope I haven't been wasting my time with this site. I've done everything that has been recommended...I set up a strong profile, loaded pics, completed my resume and biography, started blogging and am trying network like hell! I think I up to about 450 views and have sent apps in for a dozen or so gigs, but nothing so far. Time will tell.

I am a homegrown Georgia boy, born and raised in the red dirt of South Georgia. Although it has taken me 44 years to realize it, I was destined for the entertainment industry. I remember singing to Disney tunes and acting out movies in the front yard of our home in Putney, GA. I was formally introduced to the arts while attending Americus High School in Americus, GA. During my four years there, I participated in theatre, chorus, band and debate, and performed in several productions presented by the community theatre. In college I majored in music education and left the performing bug behind to pursue teaching. With a B.S. in Music Education in hand, I began teaching public school music, and eventually ended up as a faculty member at a Liberal Arts University in Middle Georgia where I taught courses in music, music education, voice and music directed the musicals. In 2005 I earned a Ph.D. in Music, and it was while in graduate school that I rediscovered my love of the theatre. I began performing again, and soon began to win lead roles in both university and community productions. I then ventured into professional theatre at the Atlanta Lyric Theatre, and in 2006 starred in my first commercial. In 2007 I left a 19 year marriage, quit my teaching job, and tried (unsuccessfully) running a restaurant. Now I'm finally pursuing my dream of being a full-time entertainer. So, what are you waiting for...hire me!
Reading (LOVE it); cooking; camping; hiking; gardening; horseback riding; going to the movies; going to the theater; fine dining.
I am interested in participating in a variety of entertainment venues. I am looking to do commercials, voice overs, and would love to appear on Broadway. With my looks and talent, I know I would do well in television, and would ultimately like to appear in movies.
